The Construction Industry
Galvano-aluminum effectively protects joining elements or fittings made of steel, stainless steel, or zinc diecasting material against corrosion in a maritime environment. Besides, bimetallic corrosion problems in conjunction with aluminum profiles are eliminated, too. If needed, aluminized products may be subjected to after-treatment for decorative purposes (for instance by anodic oxidation).

Aluminum alloys are widely used as window frames and door frames or as railings. Any of the attached fittings, for instance steel fittings, are exposed to considerable electrolytic corrosive attack. However, these fittings may be effectively electrochemically adapted and thus protected by aluminum plating. The same is true of steel fasteners of aluminum facing tiles. These, too, may be permanently stabilized.
